Investigations of the effects of additions of B(C,H,)s to the gas phase in hot filament CVD of diamond film on WC-Co and Si substrates are described. It is shown that B and Co are found in the diamond film on WC-Co, in the form of Co boride inclusions with some diffusion of B into the substrate. On Si substrates, diamond film growth rate and quality decreased at high B concentrations.
