VIEWPOINT

This section deals with articles from researchers who have made significant contributions to the theory of mathematical modelling and to the application of mathematical modelling to diverse disciplines. The articles aim to communicate a personal viewpoint on one or more of the following topics: (i) role and use of models in a particular discipline (ii) a specific modelling case study-highlighting the challenges encountered during the modelling (iii) new areas for application of mathematical modelling (iv) personal experiences in mathematical modelling (v) the teaching of mathematical modelling and (vi) any other topics related to mathematical modelling. We publish here articles sought through invitation from eminent researchers. However, unsolicited articles will also be considered. Dr. D.N.P. Murthy is in charge of this section.
