The Emergency Nurses Association of NSW Is pleased to offer a competency based onentabon program that has been developed by the Emergency Nurses Assooation (USA). The program is designed to meet the learning needs of newcomers to Emergency Nursing. It is a great program for those Emergency Nurses who feel the need for some revision of knowledge and skills,as well as those where educational opportunities are few and far between clue to accessibility. This distance educational opportunity is unque in that ~t allows customising of the program to meet the mdiwdual needs of the participant or an organ~satlon. Participants complete the program by reading a module then completing the related work activities in the workbook provided. Preceptors facilitate this process and may also negotiate with the participant performance of clinical skillsrelated to the module activities. Once all modules have been completed, the workbook is maled back to the Progam Fac~lrtatorfor marking.After consultation with the nominated preceptor a certificate of completion is then issued for satisfactory performance.The following is a list of the 27 learning module t~tles:

Each module incorporates the nursing process and nursing diagnoses,and highlights the presentation of common emergencies.
